LOS ANGELES — Two Los Angeles police officers were injured today when their squad car crashed into a light pole and building in the Mid-City area.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Guthrie Avenue, said Sgt. K. Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The officers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and were later released, said LAPD Officer Drake Madison.
The impact of the crash caused the airbags to deploy, according to reports from the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
